Thank you for participating in the pre-enrolment process. Your responses are key to helping us understand the number of students to expect for the 2024-2025 school year and to plan for staffing, class sizes, and programming. 

After carefully reviewing enrolment numbers for the upcoming school year, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to phase out English programming earlier than originally planned. Beginning in September 2024, Bishop Savaryn will only offer French Immersion programming. 

Unfortunately, due to lower-than-anticipated enrolment numbers, the planned Grade 5/6 split class for our English program students is no longer feasible. Only 13 students, eight in Grade 5 and five in Grade 6, have indicated their intention to return in September. This number is too small to provide a robust and effective educational experience for our students.

In the best interest of everyone involved, we will be redesignating our English students to their respective community schools for the 2024-2025 school year. The administration at Bishop Savaryn Catholic Elementary School has reached out to each affected family to share the decision and will support our families to ensure a smooth transition to their new school community.
