Testimonials from Our Families

We could not be happier with our decision to enroll our child at Bishop Savaryn! From the moment we joined the school community, we were struck by the passion and dedication of the entire staff. It is evident every day that the well-being and success of the children are their highest priorities.

Principal Mme Thomlinson is both incredibly welcoming and highly diligent, setting a wonderful tone for the whole school. The entire staff is truly committed to creating a respectful and empowering learning environment.

As parents who are not French speakers, we were initially concerned if we made the right choice, but the school has created a support system that allows our child to thrive and helps us feel completely successful in navigating the French Immersion program. The vibrant community and clear communication make this journey enjoyable for the whole family.

We have been a part of the Bishop Savaryn family for 3.5 years now and we are still very happy with the school for both of our children. The teachers, staff and other families really try to make the school a caring and giving learning community. I can't recommend them enough. I did not attend French immersion growing up, but did learn it in school and also learned Spanish in University. My kids are now in Grades 2 and 3 and comprehend more than me in French. While I was scared about being able to help the kids with their homework, the teachers and the immersion system in general makes me feel very supported and I see the benefits of French immersion for my kids even at this age.

We chose Bishop Savaryn specifically because of the lived values of diversity and inclusion. Whereas other schools may talk about this, it is evident from the moment you walk into the school that this is part of the school's DNA. Our daughter started Kindergarten last year and we have nothing but great things to say about ALL DAY Kindergarten and the amazing and warm staff and teachers that make Bishop Savaryn a wonderful place. Our daughter takes the bus and while we were a bit nervous about a small child going on the bus by themselves, it is one of the highlights of her day and everyone makes the process quite seamless. We look forward to a long adventure with Bishop Savaryn as our son will be starting this September. To everyone at Bishop Savaryn - merci, thank you.
